This area makes up most of level 21 and it is a puzzle gatekeeping the lowest levels of the Undercity.

From the Moria, the party must find the stairs leading to the Hot Springs at {15,28,0}
Once there, find the stairs at {16,31,0} to the underground path.
Proceed down 3 flights of stairs until reaching a gate guarded by a gargoyle: open it by pressing on the ring right beside it.
On the next floor down, defeat the Dracolich that roams the area.
A tiny switch removes a wall blocking the way to the final stairs down.

There are several switches hidden away in the maze, each releasing a unique creature and granting access to the next switch in the sequence.
Once all switches are turned on, the party will locate the stairs leading down.
The level is otherwise populated by Red Ants.
